From 14-20/04/2026 we travelled to Ogulin, Croatia, to participate in the training course: “Drop the Labels” and explore concepts and practices related to social inclusion practices with the organisation Vallis Collapis. Through participatory workshops and learning-by-doing we learnt how to demonstrate the ways in which assigned labels influence the way society perceives an individual and the opportunities available to them. We also worked intensively on John Rawl’s “Veil of Ignorance” theory which helped us understand how to create a society that could be as inclusive as possible and eventually became designers of our own workshop, creating innovative and engaging activities for the rest of the group.
Drop the Labels was a process of learning, collaboration and consciousness-raising that left us with valuable tools and fresh ideas to bring back to our communities. Indeed, upon our return we met with the youth workers of Maghweb to discuss and share the different methodologies acquired.
