Idee e pratiche per contrastare lo spopolamento delle aree rurali: da tempo ci interroghiamo sui possibili sentieri da percorrere, sulle difficoltà materiali che riscontrano i giovani delle aree rurali e che spesso scoraggiano le novità e il cambiamento rurale.

Lo scambio e il dialogo tra differenti realtà che operano in cinque paesi europei – che ogni giorno lavorano per animare le comunità e fornire strumenti, spazi e luoghi alle persone giovani – è ciò che stiamo coltivando all’interno del progetto RURALEM.

Dal Portogallo, dalla Croazia, dalla Spagna, dalla Bulgaria e dall’Italia ci siamo incontrat3 a Palermo per costruire insieme i percorsi che ogni realtà porterà avanti nel proprio territorio, scambiando metodologie partecipative e strumenti pratici: l’obiettivo è quello di far sì che i giovani diventino “agenti per il cambiamento rurale”.

Ideas and practices that address the depopulation of rural areas. A continuous, collective search for new paths that can help us address the difficulties faced by young people in rural areas. Difficulties which often discourage innovation and change. With RURALEM, we are cultivating exchange and dialogue between different organisations operating in Portugal, Croatia, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy who work every day to enliven rural communities and provide tools, spaces and places for young people.

Our gathering in Palermo enabled us to exchange participatory methodologies and practical tools with a common goal—supporting young people to become “agents for rural change”.
